Marisa and Patrick met in the summer of 2008 through happenstance, or what some would consider fate! Patrick was working at a local Starbucks location, one that happened to be the closest to Marisa’s house. She was finishing up her second year of law school and, on days that she wasn’t able to make the 135-mile round trip to school, she went to Starbucks and treated it like her study hall. Every time she came into the coffee shop, they would steal looks of each other and share some particularly strong eye contact. Eventually, they worked up the nerve to talk to one another. After many days spent glancing over when the other was turned around, Marisa walked up to Patrick and asked him out to the movies. That day was November 14, 2008 and the start of something wonderful! The couple agreed that their wedding turned out to be even better than they could have imagined. Their particularly favorite parts included the beautiful ceremony, the grand entrance the wedding party made, and the stunning sunset that capped off the entire celebration. Marisa’s father made a loving speech during the festivities and every guest could be seen having a wonderfully memorable time. Their friends traveled from all around the world to see the two unite for eternity, with guests coming in from Australia and the United Kingdom. The bride’s dress was inspired by one of the first dresses she tried on at a local bridal boutique. With her mother and Karen Falco (a local designer), Marisa then went on to create something both modern and romantic, and the end result was a gorgeous silk, tulle, and lace dress made in the prettiest shade of pink since Marisa was never one to want a traditional white gown. Patrick’s favorite color is grey while Marisa has always loved blush pink, and the combination made for a beautiful setting for the day’s events. They chose the Monarch Bay Club, and they both admitted that the venue along with the Club and Dana Point would always be special locations for them as a couple. This wedding was featured on Carats and Cake.
