Wedding Date on Mar 7, 2020

Marisa and Erica met through Marisa's Cousin (Officiant) one night at a bar. This was supposed to be a casual, friendly introduction that slowly turned into a relationship over the next year. Erica had only dated guys before she met Marisa. But when she met Marisa she knew she had found her person. Her friends and family saw it before she could say it, and once she did everyone was extremely supportive. They could see how much happier she was since meeting Marisa. They decided on a destination wedding in Mexico. 40ish of their closest friends and family joined them on a week long adventure of sun soaking, pool drinks, bonfires and late night tequila bar tastings. They turned their destination wedding into a vacation so their closest family and friends could mix and mingle and really create wedding week memories. We knew Marisa and Erica were the right couple for us from the moment we intitally had our first phone call. We were on the West coast and they were on the East and somehow found us through one wedding hashtag from another wedding we had done at the same resort. They immediately fell in love with our work and knew they wanted us there. They let us in their world and completely trusted us. From the moment we stepped foot off the airplane to the moment we left we knew we were going to be lifelong friends. We went wherever they and their crew went for the entire week. Took the go pro in the pool one afternoon and followed them to the club after dinner rehearsal to get all that beautiful dancing. We ate breakfast with their parents and hung out with their friends beachside, just to get to know everyone a bit better. This is built into our process so that the day of the wedding we already know how special each person in the room is and what their relationship is. Because of this we knew that a very special person was missing from the bunch. Erica's maid of honor. Her friend Pina, had her very first child, just days before the wedding and couldn't make it. They have known each other since they were little so, we knew we needed to incorporate her friend somehow. We got a hold of her friend after the wedding, so send us a video of her basically giving her maid of honor speech. We also made sure to get clips of Erica and Pina facetiming throughout the wedding day to put it all together and show that relationship. After the wedding we got a hold of each of the mother of the Brides and had them send us old footage of the girls on VHS to include in the final edit. For us as a wedding film duo, it's not always about the pretty, about the equipment, about the cool drone shot, or the latest technology..... IT'S ABOUT TELLING YOUR STORY, from your point of view. Developing those relationships with all of those around you is key. BTW. Have we told you we LOVE what we do? :)
