Maria and Jake met in 2013 while attending their sophomore year of college. They first spoke during dinner at the cafeteria where Jake claims Maria ate off his plate. Maria denies it saying she ate a bite of food off her friend’s plate. Either way, they started talking more and officially started dating in April 2013. After 5 years of dating, Jake decided it was time to propose to Maria. They had planned to go hike Mount Major, but rain was in the forecast, so they decided to stay local. Maria remembers complaining because she just wanted to do a quick walk before the rain, but Jake took her down a new trail. They enjoyed the view of the pond for a moment and then Jake got down on one knee and asked Maria to marry him. She recalls being speechless, but said “of course!” That night, they recreated their first date by going to their favorite Italian restaurant followed by the new Avengers movie. When searching for a wedding venue, Maria and Jake knew they wanted a winery or brewery with character and a lot of land. They fell in love with Zorvino’s rustic feel and how they are always experimenting with new wine flavors. Maria’s wedding dress had a beautiful lace bodice with a keyhole running down the front. Her bouquet was stunning; there were light pink and lavender tea roses, lisianthus, feverfew daisies, and a ton of different greenery. The theme for their wedding was “Love is a beautiful ride”. There were a lot of antiques and bicycle decor accents throughout to represent their love for mountain biking. They also love to sing and dance, so they didn’t let COVID stop them! They put on their masks and danced the night away. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day! Are you planning an intimate wedding? Our team would LOVE to capture your story!
