Josh & Madison are proof that you can find the love of your life on Tinder! Madison joked with us that Josh was the first guy on Tinder who wanted to meet at 11am on a Sunday. They met for coffee after Josh, who is an Emergency Doctor, had barely slept after finishing a 30 hour shift. Josh says, "as soon as I met her, her smile re-energized me." Coffee turned into a walk on the beach which turned into beers on the patio. They both knew there was something there when they kept making excuses to have the date go longer. Just a few dates later, Josh surprised Madison with dinner at a restaurant in the dark. Over dessert he asked her what her 5 year vision and goals were – that basically sealed the deal. This guy was a keeper. They moved in together and within the next year they decided to adopt a kitten named Crick (Josh converted Maddie from a dog person, although Maddie has trained Crick to be more like a dog than a cat). They knew they could handle marriage when about 2 years ago they had to help Crick through surgery, move to a new apartment, and set up new Ikea furniture all in the same day. They came out unscathed and even more in love. They got engaged at Madison’s cottage after hiking up the “Grist Grind” (Madison's maiden name is Grist, so this is a fun play on the popular Vancouver hike "the Grouse Grind.") Josh had Madison's parents there and even flew his family out from Toronto to surprise her! This wedding was a cinematographer & storyteller’s dream. Not only was the day visually gorgeous, Josh & Madison's vows and letters to each other were incredibly beautiful. The love and mutual respect these two have for each other is truly inspiring, and gives hope to all of the single ladies out there that the next swipe right could be the one.
