Madison and Aaron met back in 2008 when a parent brought Aaron and Madison's brother back to Northern Virginia. Aaron's dad brought the new dog and Madison asked if she could take photos of the dog. Aaron didn't say a word besides casual conversation and they wouldn't reconnect till 2018. In 2018, they started chatting again and seeing what is new in each other’s life. That causal conversation soon turned into thought-provoking questions and soon a connection was built they had never experienced before. For the proposal, Aaron took the day off to celebrate Madison's 30th birthday. Aaron planned to take Madison to two museums and dinner in downtown DC, finishing the night off at the World War II Memorial. Just before the day could even get started, Madison said it was too cold and windy to go to DC that day, so Aaron quickly needed to come up with a plan B. So instead, Aaron made a reservation at a restaurant in Annapolis, Maryland overlooking the water. When they got to the restaurant, they had the entire dining room to themselves. After ordering, Aaron told Madison how much she meant to him and that he is excited to spend the rest of his life with her. Madison joked and said "well there is no ring on my finger." Aaron got up and gave her a kiss on the forehead and sat back down for what felt like 5 minutes. Madison's face had so many emotions at this point, but anger and disappointment were becoming the most prevalent. Aaron then got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
