The first time I remember noticing Danny was actually at an event in college. He was my roommate’s date (she is still one of my closest friends and was a bridesmaid in the wedding). I thought he looked very handsome and mentioned it to my friend at the time. Danny and I circled each other for the next year and a half, actually dating each others friends and remaining in the same social circles without really ever becoming friends ourselves. I joke that Danny knew where he needed to be but we just weren’t ready to see each other clearly. One night we were leaving a party with mutual friends and decided to stop for food-- our friends ran off, but Danny and I sat, ate, and got to talk one on one. He talked all about his family and his sister. Listening to him talk, I remember thinking to myself "hmm he's dangerous, that's the kind of guy you marry." A few months later, at the end of our sophomore year, I received a text from Danny asking if I would be his date to an event. When I showed up to meet him, it was clear he just saw us as friends, but that night we spent the entire event only talking to each other. He asked me to be his girlfriend a month later and we have been inseparable ever since. I fell in love with him even more when he was willing to move with me for graduate school after our senior year. Fast forward through several years, two graduate degrees between us, a pandemic, and buying our first house, he decided to propose. Easiest decision I’ve ever made. We got married the following year on my parents’ ranch. It was everything we could have hoped for and so much of that was due to our amazing team of vendors. We can’t thank them enough.
