Noe and I grew up together. Our grandparents went to the same church our parents went to, and subsequently us. It's kind of a forbidden love story. Noe is 4 years older than me and my older brothers best friend. Throughout elementary and middle school, we were best friends, he cared for me and protected me in ways that no one else did. We were naive and didn't realize the love growing in each of us for each other. It wasn't until he went away for a summer, that he realized his feelings for me were of more than friends. When he came back, everything changed, and I couldn't understand why he was acting so weird at first until I realized how much I had truly missed him, and how much I didn't want him to go away again. After that, he asked my father if he could date me, and given the fact that he was older, my father said no. "If you truly love her as much as you say you do, you will wait. If it is meant to be, it will happen. All in Gods time." For over 6 years we stopped talking to each other romantically, eventually, we stopped communicating completely. We went out separate ways. I dated other people, but he never did. When I turned 18, he asked my father again, and my father said: "if she loves you and you make her happy, I will be as well". He slowly began his journey of making me fall in love with him again. It was the little things like leaving a single yellow rose on the hood of my car one morning. Eventually, he asked me to be his girlfriend, and that was the beginning of everything. Fast forward 5 years, we are now getting married!
