Sweetest engagement photo ever! Anyways, Britt and Jeremy exchanged vows in a stunning ceremony at Green Oak Ranch in Vista, California on Sept. 9. Love Stories TV interviews The Bachelor Alum Britt Nilsson:
How did you meet and fall in love? What's your \"love story?\"
We first met after being set up on a \"blind\" (not that anything is truly blind anymore, with Facebook) date, about 6-7 years ago actually :) A girl that had gone to cosmetology school with Jer years ago did my hair and makeup on a shoot and at the end of it, told me I had to meet him. I prayed about it and after we talked for a few weeks, we went out for the first time. We owe her big time. I knew before we went on our first date that he was gonna be the one. Jeremy knew he wanted to marry me and that he loved me off the bat, but as with many guys, it takes them a bit more time for their head to catch up to their heart :) We had a 3.5 year hiatus in there where we each went our separate ways and did some growing on our own. Then when we finally reconnected it was a steady journey towards marriage of getting to know each other and growing in love and connection. We couldn't have planned it better if we tried.
How did you find your wedding filmmaker and what made you choose them?
Jeremy met Jonty a little over a year earlier on a vacation in Italy with friends. He had seen some of his work and loved it. When we were considering videographers Jonty didn't immediately come to mind being that he lived in the U.K. But we were talking and praying about it one evening and Jonty popped into his head. And he remembered having a conversation with Jonty while in England earlier that year saying \"I'd hire you to shoot my wedding, Jonty. Your stuff is really great!\" Jonty's heart and personality make him and easy choice on top of the fact that his work speaks for itself. He captures the essence of weddings very genuinely.
What was your favorite part of the wedding planning journey? The most unexpected part?
Our favorite part of the wedding planning journey was deciding how we wanted our day to feel, meeting the amazing people who helped us with that, dreaming together and the thrill of accomplishing a huge project together. All of the planning inherently causes you to constantly envision and dream about the day. That was so fun to do together and enjoy the wedding as the consummation of our story. The most unexpected part was really how stress-free it was. We were told and warned about the pitfalls and tension of wedding planning. But we both were committed to keeping it about us and God and our commitment over the vision of the logistics of the event. The rest of the details just filled in (with MAJOR help from our wedding planner, Erica Spencer from Erica Marie Events).
What's your No. 1 piece of advice for future brides and grooms?
Guard your connection with each other and your priorities during the wedding planning process. Don't let the thrill of the anticipation keep you from really checking in with each other's hearts beyond just the details of the wedding. Continually be willing to surrender some of your perceived expectations for what will make you feel peaceful and be able to really enjoy the process, vs. being a slave to it.
Love Stories TV interviews Jonty Herman, the filmmaker behind Britt and Jeremy's wedding video:
How did you get into wedding filmmaking?
I actually got into wedding videography by accident. A good friend of mine called me up one day because his boss's wedding videographer had pulled out just a week before her wedding. I'd never done a wedding film before, but thankfully I'd just seen a wedding video produced by a friend of mine that week, which was beautifully done and seemed to capture the essence of the day, rather than documenting every second of the day in a 4 disc omnibus. My association with wedding films before then was that it was more like being subjected to watching hours of CCTV footage, which I was no way interested in producing.
In contrast the idea of an 8-12 minute video of moments from the day, set to music, brought the whole thing to life and really exposed the magic of marriage, which I've always revered as a holy and mystical event. What is more, upon receiving a thank you letter from the couple, I realized that they had experienced the day as a whirlwind, and were therefore very grateful to have a film to watch that would allow them to see and appreciate what actually happened amid all the emotion.
On a practical note, weddings have now become a great way to mix up my work and get creative, and a really useful second income alongside my documentary film production work. I spend most of my time serving non-profit organizations, working to build peace in conflict and post-conflict situations, through film.

What was your favorite part about working with Britt and Jeremy on their wedding film?**
My favorite part was actually the build up to the wedding. I'm lucky enough to be friends with Jeremy, and being UK based, he kindly opened up his home to me to be able to stay with him and his brother, Jaws, for a few days before the main event. We ate lots of tacos and laughed a lot. It makes it so much more significant to see the whole context to the moment you're filming- the highs and lows that have lined their journey up until that point, and the magnitude and magnificence of God's grace in getting them there.
If you had one piece of advice for couples considering a wedding film, what would it be?
If you have a three hour film made of your day, you will never watch it. If you have a 10 minute film made, you will watch it on repeat, a lot, and probably happy-cry every time.
Also, make sure you watch an example of your prospective videographer's work all the way through (not just their showreel). Sometimes rubbish videographers have good showreels, because they've managed to capture some good shots and put them all together into one video. And sometimes videographers make too much of the free champagne and end up a little wobbly towards the end of the video.
Anything else our viewers should know?
I've never known anyone to regret investing in a wedding film. Everyone I know who hasn't had one, on the other hand, has regretted it. But what is more, try to find somebody who captures the humans and the magic of the wedding, not just someone with a generic formula for every event they shoot.
