Jasmine and Patrick met through an online dating app... or at least they *thought* they did! In the course of a couple of weeks of talking, they realized that we originally met in college their freshman year at the University of Oregon! They had danced together at a couple of parties that year, and Jasmine admits that she had a crush on Patrick all those years ago.   After those few dances, their paths didn’t cross again for years. Instead, they lived our lives as individuals, grew up as adults; Jasmine headed to NYC, and Patrick bounced around the state of Oregon. Although it might be easy for some to say that those were lost years, Jasmine and Patrick felt so grateful to have officially connected once they met online at the age of 26, in what they feel were better, fuller, more ready versions of themselves. The bride noted in her inquiry form, "I often say how thankful I am we never connected at the age of 18, because I was a mess, he was a mess and it would’ve been a mess! And it would’ve prevented us from ever connecting when we did. Everything happens for a reason!"  After finally reconnecting and nearly 15 months of joyfully dating, Patrick reached out to several of Jasmine's friends to help plan a proposal. Jasmine said, "Patrick knew how much I value my people, and he knew I’d want my people to celebrate this occasion with us! As a couple we’ve learned a lot; we’ve been through a lot, and we both have emerged from it stronger, healthier, and wiser; together we are amazing!!"
