Lisa & Tanner met while Lisa was studying abroad in Newport, RI. They were both working as bartenders at Bailey's beach club. As Tanner mentions in their film, he knew from a year into their relationship, that he wanted to marry her. However, he was just about to go to law school and knew he had to wait. He decided to finish law school in Ireland. Then they eventually made their way back to Newport. They were engaged just before the pandemic which of course made things even more complicated. Due to travel restrictions and lock downs, Lisa's family could not attend their wedding. They decided to change plans, have a very small ceremony during the sunrise on the cliff walk and have their wedding - take 2 - the following year at Castle Hill. I had so much fun meeting them on the cliff walk before their wedding to do some location scouting. We had even more fun when their sunset ceremony ended in the most ridiculous rain storm (really, just minutes after the ceremony concluded we had to grab all of our things and run for cover, down the cliff walk to where our cars were). We were lucky enough to wait a couple of hours for the most beautiful summer day, allowing us to get some great imagery of them together, minus the rain.
