This is a highlight film I made for Lisa and Mark's casual but beautiful elopement ceremony in a Christmas Tree Farm in southern NY. I loved incorporating their home footage into the film to show more of their story and love for each other and their daughter- the cutest little flower girl. 

Mark's father sadly passed away before the wedding, but he was very much present in spirit. Lisa sewed on flowers to her dress and added embroidery embellishments for a special handmade touch.

And, it couldn't have been a more beautiful setting for drone footage!

Casual weddings are most often a style used in backyard weddings, but we also see it at beach or tented weddings. For the attire, brides may want to wear a tea-length dress or jumpsuit. Grooms should stick to lighter shades, like tan, and toss the jacket.

There's no need for china or chargers at a casual reception so have fun with the place settings, like a patterned or textured placemat. As for food, comfort food is a no-brainer. Try an elevated version like mini chicken and waffles or shooters of tomato soup with tiny grilled cheese bites on the side. We encourage you to consider family-style dining as opposed to a formal plated dinner.
