I love how this showcases a bit of the dynamics of Santa Barbara wedding videography. It begins at one of our more beautiful hotels on the beach, the Biltmore. That’s followed by an elegant outdoor wedding featuring gorgeous work by amazing vendors. And best of all, this wedding is filled with love, intention, and meaning. And one more thing - humor! From Peter’s opening soundbite, to the officiant (their good friend) quoting “from the book of Tim McGraw,” there is lots of laughter throughout this event. In fact, it seems like comedic talent runs through both families. I particularly liked being able to be there for the rehearsal dinner. I know that it is customary to include a lot of speeches at the rehearsal dinner, and I know that family is super important to this couple. It made sense that they would want to capture those speeches. And at this point, I cannot imagine this film without this opening segment. For the wedding day, the place itself has great significance to Kristen’s family, and perhaps that is why the day was particularly gorgeous. On that day everything was just sparkling. And the father of the bride remembered something during the day and related it in his speech: “the location where Kristen and Peter just got married was where my mom and dad were introduced to each other.” Just wow. This amazing wedding culminated in an absolute party that The Lucky Devils were simply rocking! The chemistry between the crowd and the band was palpable. There were times when I just put down the camera and started singing and dancing. Well, almost :)
