Kristen & Matthew swapped their big wedding plans in the US for a trip of a lifetime to elope in the beautiful Scottish Highlands and spend a month travelling across Europe. Gary Smith held their emotional humanist ceremony at Glencoe Lochan in the forest, where Kristen & Matthew exchanged their vows and promises. After the ceremony they went for a short hike in Glencoe, taking in epic views over the Three Sisters, before heading to Kilchurn Castle for sunset, where they were greeted by a baby highland coo. An incredible day that was a joy to film.

To me, the story is paramount. My wedding films are far more than just documenting your special day, but a way of experiencing it over & over again. My films capture the energy, the emotions, the atmosphere- I don’t want you to just watch your wedding film. I believe your wedding film should make you feel everything you felt on the big day. It should bring back the happiness, the smiles, the tears & the joy.

I believe in sharing in your emotions on your wedding day. By getting to know you, by being a friend to you & helping you throughout you wedding journey, I can understand who you are as a couple & I can use my expertise as a wedding videographer to tell your story. 

It’s important to me that we are the right fit for each other- we’ll be spending a lot of time together on the biggest day of your life. I only take on a certain number of weddings per year & I really do value the relationships I have with the couples who book with me. To me, quality is far more important than quantity.

I love my ‘job’, filming weddings really is the BEST and even after shooting over 100 weddings, I still get teary-eyed during the speeches, I still get excited when I see the bride for the first time and I still wish I could get on the floor at the end of the first dance (If only I wasn’t too busy filming it!)
