Wedding Date on Nov 28, 2020

Keri and John started out as friends after they met at Texas Children's Hospital serving as volunteers for a weekly program called Radio Lollipop. The two spent more and more time together as time went on, and their relationship quickly evolved into something more. From University of Virginia basketball games, to Goo Goo Dolls concerts, they have made many memories together. Their engagement story was certainly one of the couple's most memorable moments! John planned on proposing to Keri at his high school, The Blue Ridge School in Charlottesville, VA, after touring her around campus and meeting all of his old teachers. However, John got sick the morning the two were supposed to make the trip! Despite this, John was determined to bring his plans to fruition that day. They stopped at Krispy Kreme to kill some time, then Keri drove them out to Blue Ridge so John could get some rest. Shortly after arriving, John took Keri out onto the dock by the lake that all the seniors historically jump into after graduation, and popped the question. A little under a year later, the two got married at the chapel on campus, and even took a little canoe ride through that very same lake where John proposed! Their wedding was officiated by John’s favorite coach from high school. John’s Father - also the Best Man - gave a toast centered around the principles of basketball. The sport has a special place in their hearts, and a lot of it’s core values can also provide guidance on a successful marriage. John’s Father illustrated this beautifully in his speech, and we know his words will continue to resonate with Keri and John long after their wedding day.
