“We met when we both started working as managers at Hyatt in 2013. We spent so many hours together at work each week that we were able to develop such a close connection, even if we didn’t realize it at first (or maybe we did and just didn’t want to say anything right away :) ). Due to the nature of our positions at Hyatt and the level of responsibility we were given, we had to deal with a lot of crazy situations that most 22 year olds right out of college don’t experience. We were able to lean on each other in a lot of the challenging or stressful situations, which brought us closer together in a short period of time. Since we became so close at work, it was easy to get to know each other on a more personal level too, by spending time talking to get to know each others lives/interests. Falling in love with each other came very natural and I'm pretty sure the love was there before we even officially called ourselves a couple. Philip proposed to me in our home on the morning of Christmas Eve. He brainstormed all the different places he could propose, but nothing seemed quite as special as in our first home together. We were celebrating Christmas a day early, so as we exchanged stockings, I had to dig through a few “ring pops” before eventually finding the ring box in the bottom of my stocking. Then of course, he gave me the sweetest speech of why he wanted to marry me.”
