Zach and Katie's story is one about distance. They both grew up in relatively the same area in Oklahoma with their parents being friends , but Katie's family moved to Pottsville, Arkansas when she was young. They would reconnect on a trip to Washington D.C and from there fall in love. Despite living, hundreds of miles apart the one thing that kept them going was their skype phone calls. They both said how pivotal and important that was for them to spend time with each other. They would sync up movies and watch them at the same time together and also get the same board games and on both ends just so they could be with each other.
