Wedding Date on Aug 3, 2019

While the main story is about love, the backstory is about loss. Katie and Mitch have already experienced so much loss in their lives, and when I first chatted with Katie about their wedding day, it was clear that this would be a prominent story in their film. From embedding a photo of Mitch's late grandparents into his tie clip so he could have them close to his heart, and engraving the names of late family members on his clufflinks so they would hold his hand as he walked down the aisle, Katie thought of so many small details to add to their day to make it special and uniquely them. After slipping on her garter which a piece of her late nephew's bathing suit had been sewn into to keep him close to her as well, Katie and Mitch shared an emotional first look in the memorial garden they planted together for their late loved ones.
