Wedding Date on Jul 27, 2018

From the bride's perspective: "We met during our Sophomore year through mutual friends at the Wheaton College gym. I didn't have a car on campus, and Mikey did. I took notice that Mikey attended almost all of the sporting events, so... I asked for a ride. I genuinely wanted to enjoy the games, but found that I was enjoying the rides and time spent with Mikey much more. We developed a friendship and spent much of our time getting to know each other in the lobby of Mac-Evans playing pool. (Mikey dominated). One night, it was late and our friends had left the lobby to call it for the night, but I was still awake and wanted to do something...even just go for a walk. Mikey offered to join. That is a night that I will never forget. I remember feeling like I could 100% be myself and I was totally comfortable with him. I savored every minute that we spent walking all around Wheaton. Mikey expressed his deep love and passion for Jesus in every conversation and that night, I felt some serious butterflies... I knew I was hooked." One thing that was really incredible about this day was how present the Lord was. Even in chaos. The bride's sister-in-law suffered a stroke in the middle of the dance floor during the reception! At 25 years old - like... what?! The ambulance was called, basically none of the guests even knew what had happened so the party was able to continue without missing a beat, but here's the crazy cool part... The bride, groom and the bride's family all snuck into a bridal suite to pray over her and ask for immediate healing. At that VERY moment - Lauren (the sister-in-law) started to recover from her symptoms while in the ambulance. Later, the doctors told her that "there is no medical reason that she is ok right now." All signs of the stroke faded and she walked out of the hospital unharmed. It was definitely one of the coolest moments to be a part of. Scary, but so so amazing.
