Wedding Date on Jul 15, 2017

It was a dream to shoot Katie and Luke's classic wedding filled with Southern charm and the most magical sunset. Katie and Luke are two of the most genuine and kind souls you'll ever meet. Their love radiates throughout the room and one can instantly see how steady and solid their relationship is. The forecast for the day was rain. Everyone was dreading it. We managed to get through the first look and the ceremony, but on our way to the reception, the heavens opened up and dumped rain on The Club, their beautiful reception venue. The Club is one of the most classic venues in Birmingham. Built in the 1950s it was originally a restaurant that featured a bar, live band, and dancing. Although it's had many facelifts over the decades it has remained the pinnacle of southern charm and elegance for the iron city. Luckily, the rain stopped and we were graced with the most beautiful sunset overlooking the city. It was stunning - just like Katie and Luke. The evening finished with an amazing performance by the band while family and friends danced the night away. It was a picture perfect ending and just goes to show that a little rain isn't going to ruin the day.
