Karina and James met for the first time in London. Karina says that she knew James was the one early in their relationship because he was open and affectionate. He made her feel safe, loved and admired. Their relationship grew and James introduced Karina to his family and Karina introduced James to her family in Germany. They traveled across Europe, Australia and beyond. July 2018, James arranged to take Karina out for a picnic at Richmond Park to celebrate their second anniversary. They found some shade under a tree and were on a hill that overlooked the London skyline. James got down on one knee and pulled out a ring.
