If you want to see a great example of positive attitudes and flexibility, look no further than Shraddha and Karan. This amazing couple had specifically picked the Hotel Irvine for its beautiful outdoor landscapes but the day of the big event it rained so they had to quickly move the entire wedding indoors! What resulted was a gorgeous ballroom wedding that somehow seemed effortless. The couple ironically met in the rainy city of Seattle so it seems appropriate that the rain followed them on their wedding day. Shraddha had gone to visit her cousin who was in an incubator program with Karan in Seattle and as fate would have it, Karan moved back to Southern California a few months later. The rest, as they say, is history. For the ceremony the couple wanted a less traditional vibe so they used a lot of romantic colors and decor and mixed it with a modern take on traditional Indian wedding themes. Indian weddings tend to have lots of reds and maroons but Karan and Shraddha wanted lighter colors while still maintaining the elegance and pops of traditional color. Shraddha’s wedding lengha was a dream because she got to create it herself! Shraddha’s mother-in-law has designers that work for her over in India so she was able to choose the exact colors she wanted and design the neckline, cut and length etc. The result was stunning. Both Shraddha and Karan say their entrance into the ballroom for their reception was their favorite part of the wedding. “It was super upbeat and exciting and just a great moment being celebrated as a newly married couple and seeing all of our hard work and planning come alive!” says Shraddha. Although the ceremony was everything they dreamed it would be, this happy couple says the actual best part is the moment AFTER the wedding when you realize you get to spend forever with your best friend. We couldn’t agree more. Cheers to this beautiful couple!
