Wedding Date on Jun 14, 2019

The amount of wedding days (particularly in the greater Pittsburgh area) that we get brilliant golden light like we had for Matt and Kara's wedding day are few and far between. Not to mention, their epic venue is already drone heaven! Plus - these two are always up for an adventure - so running through the fields and twirling at dusk was just par for the course for this couple. Matt and Kara grew up going to the same school in a small town east of Pittsburgh. Matt was a year ahead of Kara, and throughout all of their school years, they were never anything more than acquaintances. They each graduated and attended different colleges and grad schools. It wasn't until AFTER finishing their higher educations that they both found themselves back home at the same time. Their paths crossed one night out at a bar catching up with old friends, and that was it! The haven't parted ways since - and instead, built a life together closer the city. They bonded over a love for travel and great coffee. They have seen some amazing places together (and drank some fabulous coffee) - which may explain why planning their honeymoon was their favorite part of the wedding planning process! These two are also very laid back, and wanted their day to reflect that and be a fun celebration of their love with family and friends. We had the opportunity to take their engagement photos last Fall in one of their favorite Pittsburgh spots, but they knew they wanted to celebrate their wedding day in the place where they are both from. The Hayloft was an easy choice - a quaint and versatile farm setting with a gorgeous and inviting landscape. While the picturesque location and dreamy light were to die for, there is no doubt that it was Kara that was the most captivating component of the joyous celebration. Just watch her groom's reaction to their first look - it will melt even the coldest of hearts. Seeing these two together is truly something special, as their devotion and connection is undeniable, and their laughter and playfulness contagious. We could not be happy for the amazing newlyweds, or more excited for all of their adventures ahead as husband and wife! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Stahl!
