Wedding Date on Jun 3, 2017

We actually met in person for the first time in front of a funeral home while we were both assisting with a funeral escort (Banks is the Deputy Fire Marshal for Johnston County and I am a Detective/Sergeant for Benson Police Department). We then later reconnected via facebook. Banks and I were down at my beach place in Holly Ridge, NC which is just outside of Surf City. I call this my "happy place". We were sitting on the porch drinking beer and he sat down on the cooler and got close to me and then got on one knee. Little did he know, I had already seen the ring box in the center console of my tahoe earlier in the day while looking for a lighter...oops. It was still a perfect moment.
