From The Bride: From our custom whiskey favors to our romantic wild-flower centerpieces, our hope was to bring the enchantment of Ireland to our chic Westchester venue by immersing our guests in the textures, fragrances and flavors of “Home.” While the bride opted for a dreamy, ballerina inspired ball-gown with plunging neckline, bridesmaids favored soft, muted neutral wrap dresses, and gentlemen, classic black tuxedos, complementing the ceremony’s grand cathedral setting. For our cocktail hour, the castle’s elegant fireplace lounge was adorned with vintage keepsake photographs, Irish peat incense and plush leather parlor chairs. In the ballroom, dining tables were enhanced with lush greenery & peach-tree blossom branches arranged in antique milk bottles and country mason jars. For our sweetheart table, we embraced an intimate wooden farm table (our actual kitchen table) dressed with brass heirloom candlesticks and whimsical market flowers. We also decided on a combination of traditional seaside cuisine and new-fashioned Irish dishes for the evening fare; including miniature duck confit shepherds’ pies and lobster bisque shooters. Finally, our affair concluded with a customizable ice-cream bar, petite pastries served family-style and a delicate buttercream cake with floral embellishments.
