Kailyn & Jonah have had a long journey to the altar. Jonah being in residency at a hospital at the start of 2020 meant they had to reschedule their wedding more than a few times. They eventually had a micro-wedding, but their main celebration in Orlando finally happened in January of 2021. And what an event it was!
Not only was St. James Catholic Cathedral simply awe-inspiring, the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center has giant (and we mean GIANT) sliding wall-windows that allow receptions to see an unencumbered view of the Orlando skyline.
Jonah and Kailyn have such a deep and heartwarming love, too. Kailyn's bright personality and glorious devotion to her husband complement Jonah's humble nature and subtle mischievous flare perfectly. Watching them finally get the wedding they had waited for for so long was a lovely experience.Proposal story: Jonah surprised me with a ski trip to Banff a town in Alberta, Canada. He proposed on the second day at the top of Mt. Norquay overlooking the entire town.
Special details: Jonah's dad passed away a few years ago. To honor him, I had my florist wrap a piece of one of his dad's shirts around his boutonniere, his mom’s corsage, and his sister’s bouquet. It was such a sweet surprise for the morning of. My florist also wrapped a piece of my grandmother’s dress around my bridal bouquet and my dad’s boutonniere as she passed the weekend of my original wedding before I postponed it due to COVID.
We danced under Fairbanks Florist's lighted wisteria chandelier all night and had Fyerfly's cold spark boxes go off for our first dance.
One of the best moments of the night was when the Dr Phillips Center opened the sliding glass walls which overlooked the city of Orlando.
