Kacie was living her childhood dream - she was training killer whales at SeaWorld in Texas. After taking her first missions trip to Uganda, she felt the calling to leave her dream job and do missions work in Africa. For the next 5 years, she traveled back and forth from Texas to Uganda, leading missions teams to the city of Gulu. Enter Tony, an African native who was the director for this missions organization. Kacie and Tony became friends and over the years, their friendship began to grow. They became the best of friends and could talk about anything, except, as Kacie put it, "the elephant in the room." Which, was the fact that they both really, really liked each other! After much counsel and prayer, they finally felt the release that they were, in fact, meant to be together. For life! So they started planning their wedding. Instead of Tony coming to the states, they decided to get married right there in Uganda! They planned a somewhat traditional American ceremony along with a traditional African reception. It was a party like no other! They celebrated BIG with family and friends, a beautiful reunion of two cultures coming together. As Kacie said, "I kind of live in these two worlds and now we are going to let those two worlds collide....Whether we are in the United States or here (Africa), we are home to each other."
