At 14 years old, at a summer camp Josh met Loretta. She knew then and there that she felt something special for "The boy with the big glasses".
We have been so excited to share this film with you all...
This film was incredibly special to shoot and capture. Through getting to know Josh and Loretta we realized their story really spoke to us. Both of us getting married younger ourselves we know how special it is to decide to spend the rest of your life with someone when that life is really just beginning, but with these two there was no doubts about how special their love is.
One of the incredibly special things about this day was that it really organically demonstrated this beautiful transition from a Father and his daughter to a Bride and her Groom. There were so many kismet moments where moments were mirrored, things were repeated, and you could physically see how this special relationship between Loretta and her father was now being reflected in Josh. It's an incredibly special thing to a father when his daughter gets married and its an incredible responsibility for a man to marry someones daughter and this whole day reflected that in a very beautiful way. In the brief time we spent with Lorettas father we could see he was a good man, a good father, and more than anything he LOVED his girls and was so proud of them and excited for all that life had for them.
This whole wedding was centred around their love and devotion to Christ and that sacredness and specialness was felt at every turn. it was a very unique thing to be a part of.
Above all though, this is why we do what we do. Couples like this who's love, character, story, and person are so real, so genuine, so whole that they're even felt through the screen and Loretta and Josh are that. and it was an absolute honour to get to know them, befriend them, and they honestly made us feel like we were simply guests who were there to support and celebrate them and we couldn't be more grateful.
If you made it to the end of this caption congratulations, you've sat through our speech, but overall our hope is you not only enjoy this film, but also get to feel what it is to be a part of a timeless kind of love shared by these two. it inspired us and our hope is it inspires you.
See you all soon,
- Joash and Ewen
