Jon and I met at our job. I was waiting for my interview in the lobby when he walked in from his lunch break. We both had an instant attraction to each other. I later learned that after I left my interview, he asked my future boss, “You’re going to hire her right?”. Needless to say, I was hired! I was the new girl who he claimed got me my job. Fast forward a bit, we began communicating back and forth through emails over the next few months getting to know each other. Finally one day, our coworkers decided to meet for drinks after work. Jon and I sat at complete opposite ends of the table and as the night went on, the group got smaller and he inched closer. He declined several offers for a ride home from others just so he could stay and talk with me. He agreed to let me take him home though when I offered but he had to finish his beer first. Which took a long time by the way, he was stalling. When he was done, I asked him if he was ready and he smirked and shook his head no. Boy, the butterflies I felt after that were overwhelming! That was the moment I knew. Fast forward again, here we are married nearly five years later. We chose a beautiful rustic farm venue that allowed us to be outdoors which is something we both really wanted as fit both of our personalities. It was super important to have our closest friends and family there. We danced to Frankie Ballard - It All Started With A Beer which couldn’t have been more fitting! We also hired a wonderful photographer who also did videography to capture our special day! Which was something important to me, hands down. Future brides and grooms - enjoy your day! It truly does go by so fast. All the stress you feel leading up to it, will disappear the day of. I was so preoccupied that I didn’t even have time to stress about anything. Also, no matter how prepared you try to be - something will go wrong! Take it in stride. We got down to the alter and realized that we never gave our rings to our MOH and Best Man! (Oops!). We made a joke about it and carried on. It was a memorable day that we cherish and will never forget. Best wishes to all you newlyweds to be on your marriage journey!
