John and Katie met at the University of North Carolina. They decided to get married at McGuire's Millrace Farm after visiting it. Although it was 6 hours from their home in Chapel Hill, they realized it was the perfect place for them to get married. The beautiful North Carolina Mountains surrounding the venue were the perfect backdrop to an amazing wedding. John and Katie were all joy throughout their wedding day even when it started raining on their wedding ceremony and they had to move inside.
