Wedding Date on Nov 4, 2017

John and I met through mutual friends while volunteering at our local church. We were both casually seeing other people at the time so the timing just wasn't right. After spending the summer together with our friends, our friendship continued to grow. Friendship grew into interest and interest grew into a relationship. Our relationship was slow going, but I quickly knew that John was becoming my best friend and I wanted it to stay that way forever. We had been dating for a year and a half when he asked me to marry him. Our engagement wasn't anything fancy, but intimate and personal. It was perfect. Eight months later our wedding would be just the same: intimate, personal, and perfect. The advice that we would give to spouses-to-be, and what was the overarching theme of planning our wedding, was this: at the end of the day, no one is going to remember your wedding day more than the two of you. So don't sweat the small things. Do the things that make YOU happy. In 50 years, you are going to be the ones looking back on your wedding film to remember the day!
