We knew the couple would not be saying any vows so I was crossing my fingers that we would get some good speeches. We got sooo much more! Every speech was phenomenal and well thought out from everyone who came up and spoke. What put the icing on the cake was the energy John and Crystal brought to the wedding day! You could tell they were so excited to be finally getting married and the cameras didn't faze them a bit. They were just being themselves and having a good time! This wedding film is solid all the way through which can be tough when your aiming for a 8-9 min engaging film.
Filmmaker Note: It took me a whole day to find music for this film. There were so many good speeches I wanted to use them throughout the film so I had to find songs that work for that. Generally, near the end of the year new music is hard to find because artist are releasing their Christmas albums or waiting for the wedding season to pick up the following year. So most companies will use tracks they used earlier in the year. I didn't want to do that. I pushed to find tracks I haven't used and got lucky to find three great songs for this film.
One thing we do differently too in our films is combine the emotional bits and give them in big bursts throughout the film. This takes a lot of time to sort, combine them, mix the audio properly and find the right moment for it as you will see in this film. It takes patience and digging through all the footage but when done right it makes the emotional feelings peak! And when I get a little emotional just editing this (like the bride coming down the aisle) I know anyone will tear up watching this.
Favorite shot: The drone shot of the Bride coming down the aisle.
Favorite Sequence: The father of the brides speech tied in with the Crystal coming down the aisle and John just losing it!
Thank you for watching and enjoy!
