Wedding Date on Oct 12, 2019

How The Met: Joanna was hired as Eric's cousin's wedding planner and she told him she didn't have any single friends at the wedding so Eric and his brother decided to take edibles before the wedding to spice things up. Eric kept coming up to Joanna throughout the wedding and as he was leaving on the shuttle bus to the hotel yelled out "Goodbye, My Love!" (Dumb and Dumber reference). Eric messaged Joanna a week later as she was sitting on the tarmac getting ready to leave for a business trip to Abu Dhabi and Dubai. We had our first date when I got back and the rest is history. The Proposal: We live together at the Jersey Shore and spend most evenings in the summer on the beach with our dog Ellie. Eric brought me to the beach on a Sunday morning and proposed on the beach in sweatpants, just where we had our first date and have spent a lot of great time together. Wedding Details: Swedish traditions including the Snapsvisor. I also will be having my florist attach a medal my grandfather was knighted with in the 1930s as an addition to my bouquet. Our French Bulldog is a big part of the wedding with a guest appearance for the ceremony and quirky decor details. Also, Joanna is a wedding planner and Eric and Joanna met while Joanna was planning Eric's cousin Erin's wedding so we feel like weddings are our absolute favorite way to celebrate together. Also, the song "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley is Eric's go-to karaoke song and Joanna will be walking down the aisle to an acoustic version. Close friends know this is his song.
