From the Bride: LOVE AT FIRST TACO Like all good love stories, ours began with a bee, a taco and a dark corner in the west loop of Chicago. after endlessly swiping through the scary offerings of the chicago online dating scene, we matched on bumble. for those who don't know, bumble forces the lady to make the first move. so being the super suave human that she is, jess used the classic opening line "i too like kids and cheeseburgers." we started chatting, discovered that we had children with the same name (which ian found to be less than interesting) and decided to meet. babysitters were arranged and plans were made. we set our first date for march 18, 2016. we agreed to meet in the west loop of chicago on a dark corner away from all civilization. then we walked a few blocks to grab the first course of our multi-stop meal. tacos. tacos were followed by drinks, which were followed by bowls of ramen. it was obvious from her appetite that jess was the one for ian. we ended our night at a dirty little bar called rainbo club. weeks passed. months passed. the kids met. jess and ayden moved in. succulents were purchased. so many perfect succulents. the cats fought. our family took shape. 1 year later, at that very same dirty little bar, ian got down on one knee and jess said "OH MY GOD.
