Jordi + Jeremiah met online. Jeremiah was supposed to be taking a break from dating, because as he says in his vows, he'd "been on soooo many dates and... his heart could use a break." But Jeremiah decided to give love one more shot, and it turned out to be the perfect match.
Jordi is a pediatrics, and Jeremiah is an ICU nurse. Throughout COVID they spent the majority of the pandemic in the hospital, but grew even closer through their mutual support of each other at home. In January 2021, they took a small vacation to a seaside town that was an hour away from home. They wanted to get away for a couple days, and Jordi surprised Jeremiah by proposing there!
For their wedding they chose to get married in Albuquerque, NM during the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta! They started their day with a sunrise ride over New Mexico. Traveling several miles, dipping into the Rio Grande, and ending the trip with a champagne toast. Their adventure continued as they got dressed and headed to the base of Sandia Mountains. Jeremiah's mother provided the most beautiful ceremony, reminding the couple that marriage has mountaintop moments, but most of life happens in the valley. It's important to appreciate the beauty in both.
