Ricky and Jenny met in the fall of 2008 at Matignon High School. Jenny was actually registered to go to Arlington Catholic, but Matignon called and offered her a scholarship, so she changed her registration at the last minute. Jenny remembers seeing Ricky in gym class as a freshman and had a major crush on him. He asked her to the Winter Ball, and although they didn’t officially start dating until sophomore year, they went to every high school dance together! Fast forward to July 4th, 2018. They were at Ricky’s parents’ summer house in Gloucester, where Ricky asked Jenny to go walk their dog on the beach. She was hesitant to go since she had just walked the beach with Ricky’s mom, but decided to go. Ricky had bought a new dog tag, and it said “will you marry me?” Of course, Jenny said yes! Jenny and Ricky were originally supposed to a big wedding, but COVID-19 forced them to change their plans. They didn’t want to wait to be married, so they decided to have an intimate, romantic wedding on their original date of September 19, 2020. Jenny wore a v-neck Essense of Australia dress with beading and lace complemented by a classic white floral and greenery bouquet. Ricky had a custom suit by Christopher Cuozzo. The suit jacket was lined with photos of them growing up (does it get any cuter?!) Following their ceremony at St. Raphael’s Church, friends and family gathered for a small reception at Jenny and Ricky’s home. It was a beautiful reception in their backyard where guests were greeted by a champagne wall, and a beautifully decorated tent with gold and light pink accents. Their wedding may have been different than they originally envisioned, but it was truly the perfect day and we were honored to be a part of it. Are you planning an intimate wedding?
