Wedding Date on Oct 20, 2020

I’ve been wanting to share this film for quite some time now, but I just couldn’t find the right words to showcase just how beautiful this day was. This wasn’t just a love story between two people. This film depicted the essence of time and just how precious life is for us. Prior to their wedding day, Jenny and Mike had lost family members that were monumental figures in their lives, Jenny’s father and Mike’s grandfather. Although gone, they were certainly not forgotten on this day. I never had the honor of meeting either of Jenny or Mike's lost loved ones, but I like to think I had met their presence on this day. There were these sentimental moments where Mike’s grandmother placed a pin of Mike’s grandfather on his lapel with the warmest smile on her face and the silence + stillness of Jenny praying and kissing her father’s grave that swelled my heart full of love and emotion that will stay beside me for a lifetime. The first time I listened to the quote I had placed in the beginning of this film I thought this was just another string of pretty words that could be a nice touch to add to their film. But after developing my relationship with Jenny and Mike and experiencing their wedding day and these moments, I listened to those words again and couldn’t help but feel their presence again. I like to think that maybe these words could have been the words of advice they would have given Jenny and Mike before they found each other and now, I think they would agree that Jenny and Mike are everything those words say and more. Here’s to a lifetime of “levitating and being deliriously happy”. Congratulations to the newly Mr. and Mrs. Henry! 🤍🕊
