From the bride: "We met in my last year of college and John had already graduated. To make a long story short, I was living with 4 of his fraternity brothers at the time. At the time I wasn't looking for a relationship but my roommate kept inviting us to the same parties/bars each weekend and on our first date, I actually told John that I wasn't looking for a relationship so this probably wasn't going anyway and he shouldn't get attached. That only made him more determined to win me over and here we are, 9 years later getting married.
We moved to Texas together and adopted our "baby", Omar (the dog-bearer) 7 years ago.
John proposed in San Diego last July (2019) to my complete surprise. We were walking down the shoreline and I was taking photos. When I turned around, he had the ring out. He didn't tell anyone (other than our parents) because he wanted it to be a complete surprise.
We are truly the definition of opposites attract. John and I are very different. He's the introvert, I am the extrovert. He sees the world in black and white and I live my life in the grey area. He is the analytical mind and I am the creative. He is the type A and I am the type B. But with all of our differences, we balance each other out. He keeps me level and grounded and I pull him out of his shell.
As a couple, we love experiencing new things together. We love to travel and exploring new places, going to concerts and sporting events. We are super active and love to be out doing things."
