Wedding Date on Dec 29, 2017

Yosemite National Park really is the dream place to elope! The park offers a little bit of everything: huge waterfalls, forests with giant sequoia trees, the picturesque Mercer River, and the huge cliff faces of Half Dome and El Capitan. We had so much fun exploring Yosemite Valley! Jen + Patrick planned their elopement in record time, in fact, they first got in touch with us to be their videographers just about a month before their elopement. But you would never have been able to tell. Their ceremony was held in El Capitan Meadow, surrounded by trees and golden fields. They stood on top of a fuzzy rug and set up beautiful vases of flowers, and even supplied blankets for their guests. Jen's best friend officiated their ceremony, and the two exchanged beautifully written vows to each other. After the ceremony, everyone gathered around the bed of their truck and had some warm drinks and snacks. Jen gave all of the guests little ceramic mugs that she made herself. We spent the rest of the afternoon exploring all that Yosemite Valley has to offer. For being the end of December, the weather was beautiful! Jen + Patrick ran through meadows, snuggled each other as they looked down on Yosemite Valley, had their first dance at the base of El Capitan, and never stopped smiling. They ended the night with a family dinner at The Majestic Yosemite Hotel, which reminded us of the Great Hall from Harry Potter. The next day, we met up with Jen + Patrick for an Adventure Session hike through a sequoia grove. We looked up at the trees and admired their incredible size. We even got to walk through a hollowed-out tree! It was so much fun to spend a little bit more time getting to know them and capturing even more footage for their film.
