Wedding Date on Jan 25, 2020

Josh and Jemma both moved away from their childhood homes, in Perth and Wollongong respectively, to Canberra around the same time. Josh arranged a first date with Jemma after chatting on Tinder (or at a friend of a friends house as their friends like to joke). He couldn't find her at the restaurant and he'd realized she had gone to a different entrance. As he went up behind her and called her name it was a true love at first sight moment. He fell in love with her beautiful eyes and her smile and the rest was history. From that moment on they were inseparable, creating inside jokes and supporting the Sydney Swans and getting a dog! This all culminated in a beautiful Canberra wedding. The wedding wasn't without it's drama. The lead up to the day was not easy. Canberra experienced one of it's worst ever hailstorms causing damage across the city. This was followed by a huge bush fire that threatened to close the venue only days before the wedding. The bush fire season had been devastating across the country and with the fire threatening Canberra airport and Pialligo Estate, firefighters bravely controlled the fire and were aided with a cool change and rain only a day before the wedding was due to take place. To the relief of everyone the wedding was able to go ahead and the weather was beautiful and clear on the day. Josh and Jemma wed surrounded by loved friends and family.
