In Ine's words // "This wedding is the result of one 'russeknute' (schoolies challenge) and one very (charmingly) drunk Ine determined to let loose one night and try the whole one-night-stand-thing. One night became one morning, one morning became one afternoon, and after intense bonding over dead baby jokes and unspeakable amounts of frozen spring rolls, I had pretty much moved in with the in-laws at Eikanger. Sure, they didn't actually know about it for a few weeks; Phillip would just smuggle an extra pair of cutlery in his back pocket while getting dinner from the kitchen, and we lived a comfortable and secret life in his room all through exam weeks in 2012. But we weren't boyfriend and girlfriend. That would still take a while, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone nod as hard, determined, and frankly quite desperate, as Phillip did when I asked if we should give the long-distance-relationship-thing a go. I was moving to Barcelona shortly after, and Phillip; well, he was going to share bunk bed with 7 other sweaty teenage boys in His Majesty's Royal Guard, so I think he deemed his to be 'the better deal'. And so we were a couple, to my own grand shock. I, who had been thinking for weeks that I was coming down with the flu. I'd been feeling so weird - giggly, shaky, legs like jelly; symptoms the cynical 17 year old me only related to having a really, really high fever. No one was as surprised as me when I realised I was just head over heals in love for the first time in my life.
