We had a perfectly crisp fall day to celebrate Heather & Tony this October, and I felt truly honored to be a part of it. It's pretty rare that I get choked up at weddings these days, but these two had me sniffling all night! Not only because they were so evidently in love with each other, but also because of the way Heather so joyously and completely took part in Tony's Greek family traditions. After traveling to New York and back a few times to get the perfect dress and the perfect fit, Heather and her mom finally brought it back to Pennsylvania right before the wedding. Her mom told me it served as great bonding time for the two of them. When asked what Heather & Tony were most looking forward to on their wedding day, they both said they were most excited to see their two families come together and enjoy the celebration. Heather & Tony held their traditional Greek ceremony at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Camp Hill, and it was absolutely breathtaking. The priest welcomed me and the photographers to get up close to the ceremony space, which was such a blessing, and allowed for beautiful shots of the bride and groom and their bridal party. After they were married, they invited their guests to throw rose petals as they descended the steps of the church. Clearly the two of them know how to plan for a good photo-op! When Heather told me Tony had proposed in front of Christmas lights, I was sold! "He was a little nervous," Heather recounted. "He didn't want to have a big crowd around us when he was doing the proposal at this park and wanted it to be special and just the two of us. I got this feeling when he put me in front of this light display to take a photo at the Christmas Magic Park, and I turned around and he was getting down on one knee." The night went on with lots of Greek dancing, flying dollar bills, and chocolate, which was only appropriate for a wedding in Hershey. It was clear just how happy the newlyweds and their loved ones were to celebrate their marriage!
