There were two moments when it became very clear to me the type of people that Hannah and Marco are. When I arrived at their venue and Hannah insisted that she would help me carry my 50 pound bag to my room. When Marco said “ I just want to make sure Emily is having a good time”. This wedding experience left a huge impact on me in a plethora of ways. Everyone who knows these two will understand (and many people verbalized this at their wedding) these two care so deeply for the people in their corner. They instantly took me in as one of their own and I was able to first hand experience that care. I think for this reason their film is such a transformative film for me; it feels more personal than any film I’ve ever created. When I think back on their day I’m reminded of how they made me feel, how engaged they were in every conversation, how much trust they felt in me to capture their day, and how being around them makes you appreciate being alive that much more. They truly are unlike any people I’ve ever met + it feels unreal that I got to capture this day. Oh also in fucking Italy. Anyways I think that my films are able to convey my feeling more than any words can (ill leave the words to Hannah and Marco cuz goddamit)
