The first time Layton and Hannah saw each other was at singles ward in Blanding, Utah. (Layton's family is from there, and Hannah was visiting hers.) He looked at her repeatedly throughout Sacrament, and then he was even more interested after she gave her testimony. After the meeting, he was approached by the YSA branch president who said something to the effect of, "You sure were looking quite a lot at Hannah over there. She's a great girl, you should ask her out." Well, Layton had to make the drive back up north to Orem, so he did not ask Hannah out, and didn't even talk to her that day. However, he did follow Hannah on instagram. She followed him back, and they started casually talking. Then, over general conference weekend, he was back in Blanding and he asked Hannah out on a date. They talked and drove for a few hours, and played games with his family. From the very beginning, it was easy and fun and peaceful. Layton knew within the first few dates that he wanted to marry her. But, as enamored as Hannah was with him, it took her longer to get an answer that he was the one. But once she got that answer, they started wedding planning immediately. At that point, they had only known each other about six weeks. They got officially engaged (with a ring) on December 15th...
