Jared and I first met in Atlantic City, NJ where we were both attending different bachelor/bachelorette parties. The connection that formed on that day was evident and strong. After meeting that weekend, there was not a single hour of the days that followed without text messages being sent to each other or calls being made. We were thoroughly enjoying getting to know each other on a deeper level, even though we were miles apart. We got engaged two years later. We were on our way to Amorette, (a restaurant in Lancaster that is owned by his uncle) for dinner reservations. On the way he stopped me at the center square of Lancaster and proposed to me in front of about 100 people and a live band. He did NOT have that planned but he already hired a professional photographer so he had to follow through with the location as planned. As we made our way to Amorette I was surprised again with my entire family surrounding the table. One last surprise of the night was when I walked out after dinner and saw all of our closest friends there to celebrate the engagement. There were three things I asked of Jared when we started talking about getting engaged. 1. I want it on camera, 2. I want to be surrounded by my family 3. I want to celebrate with my friends. Not only did he follow through with my insane requests, but he knocked it out of the park. We love playing sports, traveling, visiting friends and family, but most importantly we LOVE our quality time with each other.
