Wedding Date on Jan 5, 2019

Kirk and I met our freshman year of high school in English class. Even though we had class together, we only spoke a few times. We didn't really see each other again until our junior year in the spring when we had another class together. We got to know each other over the semester and in the last few weeks of class, he slipped a notef into a book of mine that he'd borrowed for English class when he returned it to me, asking me on a date. We went on our first date the next day. A year later, we went off to college about two hours away from each other but still managed to make the other person a priority, thanks to FaceTime, texting, and phone calls literally whenever we had free time between class or while driving. It was difficult, but our relationship was strengthened by it because when we were together for weekend visits, we didn't take that time spent together for granted. Kirk proposed at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens on our four year anniversary and our wedding was January 5, 2019. After being apart from each other for so long, I'm so grateful to get to spend every day with my best friend!
