Haley + Gus met freshmen year of college at Kansas State University. For a city guy from Florida and small town girl from Kansas, they were close friends throughout their time there. It wasn't until after college that they realized that it could possibly be more. Gus reached out to Haley while she was traveling for work and the two started to catch up on where life had taken them after college. Gus asked Haley to come to Charleston for just one weekend to see if it could be more, and if not, they would always be friends. Needless to say, the moment she arrived, Haley knew she would never want to leave his side. Six months later Haley had left her job and everything she knew and they started their adventure-filled life together.
