Jordan and Gretchen first met as co-workers. Jordan, being younger, was largely ignored by Gretchen. 7 years passed and they reconnected on a road trip that each one had been taking. It was love at "first reconnection". Jordan visited KC in October 2017, Gretchen flew to Boston for Thanksgiving, Jordan moved to KC in December, Gretchen moved in with him in April, Jordan proposed in May, and they both said "I Will" in August 2018.
