A COLLEGE NEWSPAPER AD Seven years ago in Indiana, Brian needed a date to a dance! He and his roommate wrote ads about themselves and submitted them to their Notre Dame Observer newspaper. Lo and behold, Gia at St. Mary’s had a canceled class and to pass the time, she picked one up! After laughing in disbelief that people still did that type of thing, Gia and her roommate decided to entertain the idea by responding, because, as Gia put it, “why not?!” Some quick Facebook stalking revealed Brian’s good looks, which began to dissipate any initial hesitation Gia had! TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE? After a few texts back and forth, Gia and Brian made plans to meet IRL at a safe, neutral space--the library! With an exit strategy in place and friends nearby for backup just in case anything went awry, Gia soon realized Brian truly was a normal, cool person...but not only that, they really hit it off! SWEETHEARTS! Knowing that Gia soon had to leave to study abroad for a semester, the pair kept their friendship light and casual and enjoyed their time getting to know each other. Once she returned, their relationship blossomed. Gia and Brian finally made their relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend official at The Grotto, a very special and spiritual candle-lit place on campus. Here we are six years later celebrating their love and capturing their God-given romantic story!
