Can you believe it? We met online! On Bumble. My opening line was, "Hi, Chris!" Genius, I know.  We had just gotten back from Iceland, on a birthday trip I planned for Chris. He wanted to propose with the Northern Lights above us, apparently, but we were never lucky enough to see them. The day we got back, he took me out to breakfast at our first date spot, The Fountain, and we had the entire restaurant to ourselves! He sweetly proposed and we had celebratory prosecco at the table where we first met (in person, at least).

Casual weddings are most often a style used in backyard weddings, but we also see it at beach or tented weddings. For the attire, brides may want to wear a tea-length dress or jumpsuit. Grooms should stick to lighter shades, like tan, and toss the jacket.

A casual wedding is playful, fun and great for weddings with a smaller guest list. The ceremony is often outdoors or hosted in a backyard and we love the thought of using benches for the seating to really keeps the formality to a minimum. String lights are a must!

With a more informal celebration, you can really get creative with the menu and play with your décor. There's no need for china or chargers at a casual reception so have fun with the place settings, like a patterned or textured placemat. As for food, comfort food is a no-brainer. Try an elevated version like mini chicken and waffles or shooters of tomato soup with tiny grilled cheese bites on the side. We encourage you to consider family-style dining as opposed to a formal plated dinner.

It should bring back the happiness, the smiles, the tears & the joy.

I believe in sharing in your emotions on your wedding day. By getting to know you, by being a friend to you & helping you throughout you wedding journey, I can understand who you are as a couple & I can use my expertise as a wedding videographer to tell your story. 

It’s important to me that we are the right fit for each other- we’ll be spending a lot of time together on the biggest day of your life. I only take on a certain number of weddings per year & I really do value the relationships I have with the couples who book with me. To me, quality is far more important than quantity.

Hey I’m Sally and I create timeless films packed full of emotion to document your wedding in the most natural way. I take time to get to know my couples during the build-up to their wedding so that on the day we greet each other like friends. I capture real un-forced emotion by blending into the background to film people unaware. I want you to be relaxed and enjoy the day safe in the knowledge that I will be there documenting the key moments, fun times with your besties and all the bits in between so that you do not miss a thing. I love my ‘job’, filming weddings really is the BEST and even after shooting over 100 weddings, I still get teary-eyed during the speeches, I still get excited when I see the bride for the first time and I still wish I could get on the floor at the end of the first dance (If only I wasn’t too busy filming it!)

I believe that lighting and composition and subtle camera movements are much more applicable to a wedding film than the super fast paced music video style films that seem to be becoming popular. The choice is yours and I appreciate people have different styles and tastes. On the day I aim to be unobtrusive when it matters, but at the same time like the photographer, I think that 20 mins of direction can guaranteed that you get the great shots you expend and have paid for. A few minutes with a true professional can give you moments that happen very rarely. I ask that everyone doing a reading or speech wears a tiny small hidden microphone as the audio is at least 50% of the film. I do also have white ones for a bride to wear, and this all depends on you as couple how important the video is to you on the day. The groom mic will pick you up, but often the bride can sound a little quiet.Many hours of editing goes into the films, and it is worth considering this when you look at wedding videographers who offer very fast delivery. There are guys out there who offer delivery within days, and all this means is they have done less work on the film, cut corners and delivered a sub standard product.. anyone could drop the raw footage onto a time line with some music and deliver that within a day... pick a videographer who spends the most hours on the edit.
