Wedding Date on Jul 1, 2023

From the Videographer: On our initial phone call, Sam & Erica told me they wanted their video to be fun more than anything else. I couldn’t agree more since their wedding truly felt more like a giant party. S+E made sure there were plenty of fun things for guests to do - from yard games, to a jamming dance floor, to delicious shaved ice! From the Bride (Erica): We met on a drizzly Fall Wednesday in 2015 at Century Ballroom during a swing dancing event. Sam scanned the crowd discerningly for the right follow to dance with and his eyes fell upon a young lass dancing a lively tune with someone else. When that song was over, he approached asked her to dance. Erica was tired, and she hadn't seen this lead before and didn't know if he was a good dancer. She prepared her canned response, "No thanks, I'm sitting this one out" but she stopped herself. After all, she was here to dance. She grasped his outstretched hand and they made their way onto the dance floor. Sam had chosen wisely; it was a great dance! She had a good connection and contagious energy. He thanked her for the awesome dance, and they exchanged names. Erica made a mental note to have another dance with him later in the night. After a few more dances throughout the night, Sam had to leave to catch the last ferry of the night. Erica was worried she might never see him again and asked if they could add each other on Facebook. They did, and that's what started a life long partnership. If only we remembered the song that was playing, our true first dance!
